Hip pain shouldn't bench you.

We assess the whole kinetic chain — not just the hip — to find what's really driving your pain and get you moving again.

Understanding Hip Pain

Hip pain can stop you from running, hiking, lifting, or even sitting comfortably. It shows up as a sharp twinge, a dull ache, or stiffness that gets worse with activity.

You may have tried quick visits, generic exercises, or been told to rest. That’s frustrating. We look beyond the hip. We test how your spine, pelvis, glutes, and legs work together to find the real driver.

You don’t have to guess what to do next. We build a clear plan so you can keep training while you get stronger and more resilient.

Common Symptoms

  • Pain in the groin with running, cutting, or deep hip flexion
  • Outer hip or greater trochanter pain that hurts when lying on the side
  • Buttock or posterior hip pain, sometimes confused with sciatica
  • Stiffness after sitting or first steps after inactivity
  • Pain going up stairs, squatting, deadlifting, or during dance movements
  • Feeling weak, unstable, or that your hip gives out under load

Common Causes

  • Tendinopathy or muscle overload from repeated training or sudden increases in load
  • Hip bursitis from friction or strength imbalances
  • Labral irritation or cartilage wear that needs assessment by a specialist
  • Movement control problems — poor hip or core mechanics that shift load elsewhere
  • Pain referred from the lumbar spine, SI joint, or knee rather than the hip itself
  • Insufficient strength or capacity relative to your sport or daily demands

How We Treat Hip Pain

We treat hip pain with a strength-based, whole-body approach. You’ll get a 60-minute 1:1 evaluation with a Doctor of Physical Therapy. We focus on reducing flare-ups, restoring movement, and progressively rebuilding load tolerance so you can keep doing what you love — modify, don’t stop.

01

Phase 1 — Precise Evaluation & Immediate Control

60-minute 1:1 intake and movement exam. We test the hip and the whole kinetic chain — spine, pelvis, hips, and knees. We identify painful positions and give targeted strategies to reduce flare-ups so you can keep training safely. Short-term tools include movement modification, hands-on treatment, and analgesic options like dry needling when appropriate.

02

Phase 2 — Restore Movement & Load Tolerance

We isolate the specific movement or strength deficits driving your pain. You get a progressive, individualized exercise plan focused on mobility, motor control, and graded loading. We teach you how to dose activity so you can stay active (trail run, deadlift, dance rehearsal) while we rebuild capacity.

03

Phase 3 — Strengthen & Bulletproof for Sport

We convert movement improvements into sport-ready strength and durability. Workouts include hip-specific strength, single-leg power, trunk integration, and sport-specific progressions (running gait, cutting, jump-land mechanics). You leave with a clear 3-Phase Bulletproof Roadmap and milestones to guide return to full activity.

Ongoing Coaching & Coordination

Personalized, one-to-one care with a clear roadmap for progress.

What to Expect

  1. 1First visit: a 60-minute 1:1 evaluation with Dr. Sujaya. Expect a thorough history, movement tests, and discussion of your goals — from weekend hikes to dance performances.
  2. 2Immediate plan: specific actions to reduce pain and modify activity without quitting your sport. You’ll leave with hands-on care and homework you can actually do.
  3. 3Short-term visits: focused 60-minute sessions that progress strength and load tolerance. We track objective milestones, not just how you feel day-to-day.
  4. 4Progress checks: we reassess movement patterns and update the plan. If imaging or specialist referral might help, we’ll recommend it and coordinate that next step.
  5. 5Return to sport: we’ll build sport-specific progressions and a maintenance plan so you can keep training without guessing what to do next.

Why Conquer PT

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need imaging (X-ray or MRI)?

Not always. Many causes of hip pain are mechanical and improve with a movement-based plan. If imaging might change management, we’ll recommend it and help coordinate next steps with your provider.

Can I keep running or playing pickleball while in PT?

Usually yes — you’ll get a graded plan so you can modify load and maintain fitness while we rebuild capacity. We focus on progressions that let you keep training safely.

How long are visits and who will I see?

Visits are 60 minutes and are one-on-one with Dr. Sujaya, a Doctor of Physical Therapy. That means hands-on time, individualized coaching, and clear homework each visit.

How do I get started?

Personalized, one-to-one care with a clear roadmap for progress.

I’ve tried PT before and didn’t improve. How are you different?

We don’t do 10-minute check-ins or generic stretch sheets. We assess the whole kinetic chain, prioritize strength and load capacity, and give you a clear, phased roadmap tailored to your sport and goals.
